What Is Forgiveness And How Does It Work (The Truth About Forgivess)

Ah..forgiveness.. Definitely not the easiest thing to do. But it is the most IMPORTANT thing to do.. It is important because Jesus forgave us... In that manner we are to forgive others. Let's see what the Word Of God has to say about it... And here is Ephesians 4: 32 (NLT)
Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
We are to forgive instead of opt for revenge. We have to make sure that we let God do the revenge instead of us. Let's look at more word from the Bible. Here is Matthew 6:15-16 (NLT)
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
It is important to know the definition of what it means to forgive. Here is the definition of the word "fogive." (from the Oxford definition online per Google Search)
stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for (an offense, flaw, or mistake). or to cancel a debt
The last part is what sticks with me. "To cancel a debt" Jesus forgives every sin we have or will commit. We all know the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) Jesus paid an extravagant price we could never afford, His precious clean blood. In exchange for our rotten, corrupted sinful flesh. So, how much more so are we to forgive the flaws, mistakes, or offenses of others. Now, this is not a license to become a pushover. But it is making sure that we have to express the love of Jesus, even when it is not easy. The most important point is that... Forgiveness is more for yourself than it is for the other person or party involved. We as individuals needs God's love to make it through this life. If we want God to forgive us, we need to forgive others. If we want the Heavenly Father to cancel our debt of sin, we should let go. So, forgiveness is important for you and all of us.

The Single Hardest Thing About Being A Christian

It's not easy walking the "narrow path." I fall off from that path more than I'd like to admit.  I don't know if you struggle like me, but the faith walk is full of ups and downs.  I'm going to share what I think is the most difficult thing about being a Christian.  THE MOST DIFFICULT THING ABOUT BEING A CHRISTIAN! WALKING IN FAITH  Walking in faith forces you to trust God.  Faith is the expectation that God is going to move on your behalf, even if you have no evidence.  Let's look at a famous example of Abraham and Sarah.  Abraham and Sarah were well beyond child-bearing years.  But God told them they would have a child.  This was not easy to understand.  Yet, we know that Abraham was called the "Father of Faith."   Abraham's real recourse was to trust God, despite the circumstances.  And even Abraham tried to bring God's will to fruition by using Sarah's maid, Hagar.  We look further in Genesis to see Abraham's fai...

Should You Question God?

Where are you, God?  I don't understand... Did I really hear from you, God?   I am sure you have asked these kinds of questions before. .  Honestly, there are times it seems there are more questions than answers.  This begs a bigger question.. SHOULD I QUESTION GOD?  This, in my opinion is two fold.  There is first the practical questions and then the matters of the heart.  First, we have a greater Word with us.  That word is the Bible.  According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the Bible helps answer our questions.  All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. This means that the Bible is going to answer our questions. When it comes to our daily lifestyle, the Bible is our teacher.   We have to fill ourselves with God's...

How Should Christians Pick A Job Or Career?

Sometimes, we can be deceived into thinking that God only cares about our "spiritual" walk.  But I am learning that couldn't be further from the truth.  Let's look at what God says in his word.  Here is 3 John 1:2 (NIV)  Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.  Even though the Apostle John wrote this, I gather that God also cares about our souls, emotions, our daily lives, and all that concerns us.  I would even think that means our careers.  Most of us, especially as adults, spend the majority of our time working or fulfilling some kind of obligation in the role of an entrepreneur.      The truth is that most of us don't like our jobs.  Mainly, this stems from not being able to be ourselves, low pay, and a bad environment.  This is an issue, even for Christians.  But as Christians, we should have a different lens of looking at a c...
