What Are 3 Beliefs That Christians Have?

No matter where you look, our world is changing. That change is not for the better (for the most part). It is more important than ever to have something to fall back. You have to believe in SOMETHING and know what you believe in it. Knowing why you believe what you believe is VERY important for Christians. Your pastor or bible teacher may be a wonderful God-fearing person. But it is up to us individually to know what we believe. You have to know the Bible for yourself.
So, I want to share with you 3 beliefs that every Christian should have. These are 3 non-negotiable facts about the Christian faith. This is from my perspective, but I do have Biblical text to back up my reasoning. Here is the list of 3. 1) ALL MEN ARE SINNERS The truth is we are all born into sin. None of us are born into perfection. No amount of good works can pay for our sin nature. Romans 3: 23 (NIV) states this...
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
This means even on our best "moral" day, we still come short of the standard of a Holy God. 2) Salvation is a gift from God. We are saved, not by works, but by grace through faith. It is not by works that we get into heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV) states...
For it is by grace you have been saved, through the faith - and this is not from yourself, it is the gift of God - not by works so that no one can boast.
This is not to say that you shouldn't do good works. You should strive to do good works. The point is that the fruit of our salvation is good works, not the reason for our salvation. 3) Jesus Is The Way, The Truth, And The Life. It is through Adam where sin entered into the world. And it is by Jesus that the world can be redeemed. Experiencing the redemptive power of Jesus allows us to enter into fellowship with the Father. Through Jesus, we have the chance to reach for the type of intimacy that Adam and Eve shared with God before eating of the tree. In John 14:6, we see that Jesus says....
Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes through the Father, except through me.
Jesus paid for our sins so that we can be in fellowship with God the Father. Of course there are more beliefs of the Christian faith. But I think these three are a good basis to help anyone understand what Christianity is all about. I hope this helps you and blesses your spirit. God bless and keep you.

The Single Hardest Thing About Being A Christian

It's not easy walking the "narrow path." I fall off from that path more than I'd like to admit.  I don't know if you struggle like me, but the faith walk is full of ups and downs.  I'm going to share what I think is the most difficult thing about being a Christian.  THE MOST DIFFICULT THING ABOUT BEING A CHRISTIAN! WALKING IN FAITH  Walking in faith forces you to trust God.  Faith is the expectation that God is going to move on your behalf, even if you have no evidence.  Let's look at a famous example of Abraham and Sarah.  Abraham and Sarah were well beyond child-bearing years.  But God told them they would have a child.  This was not easy to understand.  Yet, we know that Abraham was called the "Father of Faith."   Abraham's real recourse was to trust God, despite the circumstances.  And even Abraham tried to bring God's will to fruition by using Sarah's maid, Hagar.  We look further in Genesis to see Abraham's fai...

Should You Question God?

Where are you, God?  I don't understand... Did I really hear from you, God?   I am sure you have asked these kinds of questions before. .  Honestly, there are times it seems there are more questions than answers.  This begs a bigger question.. SHOULD I QUESTION GOD?  This, in my opinion is two fold.  There is first the practical questions and then the matters of the heart.  First, we have a greater Word with us.  That word is the Bible.  According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the Bible helps answer our questions.  All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. This means that the Bible is going to answer our questions. When it comes to our daily lifestyle, the Bible is our teacher.   We have to fill ourselves with God's...

How Should Christians Pick A Job Or Career?

Sometimes, we can be deceived into thinking that God only cares about our "spiritual" walk.  But I am learning that couldn't be further from the truth.  Let's look at what God says in his word.  Here is 3 John 1:2 (NIV)  Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.  Even though the Apostle John wrote this, I gather that God also cares about our souls, emotions, our daily lives, and all that concerns us.  I would even think that means our careers.  Most of us, especially as adults, spend the majority of our time working or fulfilling some kind of obligation in the role of an entrepreneur.      The truth is that most of us don't like our jobs.  Mainly, this stems from not being able to be ourselves, low pay, and a bad environment.  This is an issue, even for Christians.  But as Christians, we should have a different lens of looking at a c...
