The 3 W's To Develop A Daily Routine With God

Our days are busy...

Between the kids, the jobs, family, church obligations, and everything in between, there is little time for anything else.

However, we must always be sure to include God into our days.

I know it is not easy to do.

But God should the priority, the center of all we do.

I have something here that can help you to better place priority on inserting God into your day.

This is the 3 W's.

I will share them with you below.

The 3 W's to Develop a Daily Routine with God

The 3 W's are something I hope can help you further grow your relationship with the Lord.

Let's check them out now.

WALK

When I say walk, I mean walk and talk with the Lord.

You should start your day out with prayer.

Prayer doesn't have to be a deep thing.

Praying is simply communicating with the Lord.

You tell him how good He is, what is on your mind, and whatever you feel led to say.

This is YOUR time to have conversation with the Creator of the Universe!

Share with Him your worries, pains, hurts, and needs.

God really wants us to talk to Him.

He is waiting on us to open up our hearts to him.

WORD

The next "w" stands for Word, as in the Word Of God.

You and I need to make sure that we are opening up God's Word.

God is always talking to us; we just have to make sure to open up the pages of the Bible.

Consider a certain biblical character or topic to study.

Make sure you give yourself time to dig into the Scriptures.

A good place to start is reading Proverbs.

Proverbs is the book of wisdom, and it is always good to have more wisdom in our daily lives.

Reading is good, but don't stop there.

Don't just read, study!

Get a bible dictionary, concordance, and other reference books to gather a deeper understanding of the God's word and what it means to you.

WORSHIP

Worship is the 3rd but not least of the w's.

Worship doesn't have to be anything fancy either.

Think of worship as a time to show how much you love and are grateful for the Lord.

This is YOUR time to thank God for who He is!

Whether you choose to raise your hands, sing a song, cry, dance, or however you choose to worship, use this time to give your heart to God.

Worship with all your might and your soul!

CONCLUSION

So, I hope the 3 w's of walk(pray), word, and worship gives you a blueprint on how to create a daily routine with God.

It's not about an amount of time you do all of these things, it's about the quality of the time you spend with God.

Be careful not to rush your prayer, bible study, and worship.

Let me leave you with one final thought.

I know that most of us, especially with family obligations and work, don't have all day to dig into all of Paul's letters or do an exhaustive study of the Major vs. Minor prophets.

However, I do know that all of us, especially as Christians, can be more intentional about our prayer lives, our Bible study, and dedicated worship time.

Remember again, it's not the quantity of the time, but the quality of the time we spend with God.

I do hope that the 3 w's help you to build your relationship with the Lord daily.

Thank you for reading and God bless.

The Single Hardest Thing About Being A Christian

It's not easy walking the "narrow path." I fall off from that path more than I'd like to admit.  I don't know if you struggle like me, but the faith walk is full of ups and downs.  I'm going to share what I think is the most difficult thing about being a Christian.  THE MOST DIFFICULT THING ABOUT BEING A CHRISTIAN! WALKING IN FAITH  Walking in faith forces you to trust God.  Faith is the expectation that God is going to move on your behalf, even if you have no evidence.  Let's look at a famous example of Abraham and Sarah.  Abraham and Sarah were well beyond child-bearing years.  But God told them they would have a child.  This was not easy to understand.  Yet, we know that Abraham was called the "Father of Faith."   Abraham's real recourse was to trust God, despite the circumstances.  And even Abraham tried to bring God's will to fruition by using Sarah's maid, Hagar.  We look further in Genesis to see Abraham's fai...

Should You Question God?

Where are you, God?  I don't understand... Did I really hear from you, God?   I am sure you have asked these kinds of questions before. .  Honestly, there are times it seems there are more questions than answers.  This begs a bigger question.. SHOULD I QUESTION GOD?  This, in my opinion is two fold.  There is first the practical questions and then the matters of the heart.  First, we have a greater Word with us.  That word is the Bible.  According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the Bible helps answer our questions.  All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. This means that the Bible is going to answer our questions. When it comes to our daily lifestyle, the Bible is our teacher.   We have to fill ourselves with God's...

How Should Christians Pick A Job Or Career?

Sometimes, we can be deceived into thinking that God only cares about our "spiritual" walk.  But I am learning that couldn't be further from the truth.  Let's look at what God says in his word.  Here is 3 John 1:2 (NIV)  Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.  Even though the Apostle John wrote this, I gather that God also cares about our souls, emotions, our daily lives, and all that concerns us.  I would even think that means our careers.  Most of us, especially as adults, spend the majority of our time working or fulfilling some kind of obligation in the role of an entrepreneur.      The truth is that most of us don't like our jobs.  Mainly, this stems from not being able to be ourselves, low pay, and a bad environment.  This is an issue, even for Christians.  But as Christians, we should have a different lens of looking at a c...
