What Does Real Evangelism Look Like In 2025?

Called To Create Disciples As Christians, we are all called to make disciples.  I admit that I have fallen short in that goal.  The truth is that I am selfish.  I'm selfish at times to the point where I don't even share my faith.  Maybe you are like me too.  The question I ask is "What does evangelism look like today?" What does reaching the lost look like in our A.I., social media, transgender, politically charged, truth is relative, hate infested society?  Below I will share some of my thoughts.  What does real evangelism look like in 2025? Sharing Christ with others can be a challenge in this day and age.  But we always have to start with LOVE .  Love allows us to look past the faults of people and see a person in need of Christ.  When we lead with love, we will be able to convey that we are all sinners in need of Christ's saving grace.  Real evangelism has to go beyond CHURCH .  The community church provides is important....

God Wants You To Prosper!

God Cares About You! God cares for you.  Not just your church attendance or offering in the collection plate.  God cares for you.  His love for us placed His son on the cross to die so that we can have abundant life.  "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Those are Jesus' word from John 10:10. (NIV)  We see that Jesus wants us to have an abundant life here on earth and heaven.  To confirm this even more, let's look at 3 John 2. (NIV)   "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." While the Apostle John wrote to a specific group of believers, I feel as if we can take this passage as the way that God feels about us.  My key take away from 3 John 2 is ALL .  That ALL may go well.   The good thing about this, in my opinion, is that ALL means ALL.  What does that mean?...

How Should Christians Pick A Job Or Career?

Sometimes, we can be deceived into thinking that God only cares about our "spiritual" walk.  But I am learning that couldn't be further from the truth.  Let's look at what God says in his word.  Here is 3 John 1:2 (NIV)  Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.  Even though the Apostle John wrote this, I gather that God also cares about our souls, emotions, our daily lives, and all that concerns us.  I would even think that means our careers.  Most of us, especially as adults, spend the majority of our time working or fulfilling some kind of obligation in the role of an entrepreneur.      The truth is that most of us don't like our jobs.  Mainly, this stems from not being able to be ourselves, low pay, and a bad environment.  This is an issue, even for Christians.  But as Christians, we should have a different lens of looking at a c...

Faith Vs. Trust: What's The Difference

I don't know about you.  But sometimes, it's difficult to be a Christian.  This is because I have a LOT of questions.  Questions that I rarely hear the answers to.  And questions that keep me in a not so good mental state.  Here are one of the questions that I recently pondered.  "What is the difference between faith and trust in God?" I truly didn't know until I did some study.  Here is what I found out.  FAITH is a gift from God and TRUST is an action on our part.  Follow me and I will explain a little more.  FAITH VS TRUST: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE You see, when we are born again (get saved), we exchange our old selves for Jesus' work on the Cross.  When this happens, we are given spiritual gifts, one of them being faith .  Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God As we grow in Christ, we begin to rely on God instead of oursel...

The 3 W's To Develop A Daily Routine With God

Our days are busy... Between the kids, the jobs, family, church obligations, and everything in between, there is little time for anything else.  However, we must always be sure to include God into our days.  I know it is not easy to do.  But God should the priority, the center of all we do.  I have something here that can help you to better place priority on inserting God into your day.  This is the 3 W's.  I will share them with you below.  The 3 W's to Develop a Daily Routine with God The 3 W's are something I hope can help you further grow your relationship with the Lord.  Let's check them out now.  WALK When I say walk, I mean walk and talk with the Lord.  You should start your day out with prayer.  Prayer doesn't have to be a deep thing.  Praying is simply communicating with the Lord.  You tell him how good He is, what is on your mind, and whatever you feel led to say.  This is YOUR time to have conversation with...

What Are My Spiritual Gifts? (And How Do I Find Them?)

Have you ever had that feeling of something lacking in your life?  Do you ever feel stuck, knowing that you can be doing more than you are?  YEAH ....Me too!  That feeling could be coming from the fact that we are not operating in purpose.  Purpose is that thing we are supposed to be doing that brings glory to God and benefits others.  So, you may ask...What does purpose look like?  GOOD QUESTION! It looks like you are operating in your faith and in your spiritual gifts.  I'm guessing your next question would be "What are my spiritual gifts?" And before you hit me with that "I DON'T KNOW WHAT MY SPIRITUAL GIFTS ARE," let me share this.  EVERY CHILD OF GOD HAS A SPIRITUAL GIFT!  Let me show you in the word of God.  James 1: 17 states Every good and perfect gift is from above You can also see a list of some of the gifts within the church in 1 Corinthians 12: 28-30.  So, let's tackle how you can find your spiritual gifts.  ...

The Single Hardest Thing About Being A Christian

It's not easy walking the "narrow path." I fall off from that path more than I'd like to admit.  I don't know if you struggle like me, but the faith walk is full of ups and downs.  I'm going to share what I think is the most difficult thing about being a Christian.  THE MOST DIFFICULT THING ABOUT BEING A CHRISTIAN! WALKING IN FAITH  Walking in faith forces you to trust God.  Faith is the expectation that God is going to move on your behalf, even if you have no evidence.  Let's look at a famous example of Abraham and Sarah.  Abraham and Sarah were well beyond child-bearing years.  But God told them they would have a child.  This was not easy to understand.  Yet, we know that Abraham was called the "Father of Faith."   Abraham's real recourse was to trust God, despite the circumstances.  And even Abraham tried to bring God's will to fruition by using Sarah's maid, Hagar.  We look further in Genesis to see Abraham's fai...
